My Film Job

The job i think i would like to do would be storyboard artist. Drawing is the thing i'm used to and i would be stronger at such a job. It would also give me some freedom to be artistic. I like this job better than the others, and while the other jobs seem somewhat fun to do i would rather choose an artistic job as i can play my strengths. It may put pressure on me as storyboards are a key part and it wouldn't be an  easy job but i think i'll still enjoy it. I do have good knowledge about all the varieties of different shots and those will be crucial in creating storyboards as well as being able to cooperate with several people such as the director and producer. I would definitely be benefiting more if i were to go ahead and choose storyboard artist.

My review of The Elephant Man

The Elephant Man is a great movie, just simply amazing. While this movie came out in the early 80's it is in black white, while odd it adds to the greatness and makes the movie better. The acting on all parts was executed very well. The movie covers the rescue and life of John Merrick in which it did very well doing so. The amount of emotion in the movie just makes the movie work, we don't see John as a monster like even else in the movie does and it's because of David Lynch's great directing. His work on this movie is amazing as it makes us feel anger for everyone but John as it's supposed to be. John Merrick is a kind man who ends up mistreated and David Lynch shows that he is not the monster. The movie has a great cast, a great performance and is overall a great movie.

Today Dr. Treves told me that Carr Gomm was going to visit me today. Dr. Treves came to my room early and began telling me things that i should say when Corr Gomm comes. He told me things i could say to question i could be asked as well as how to greet. When Corr Gomm arrived later that day i was very nervous, he began asking questions that Dr. Teves did not tell me he was going to ask. I was too nervous to give replies to his question. Then they left my room and i was fearful that i disappointed Dr. Treves. I collected my thoughts and began reciting from my favorite story, Dr. Treves was surprised as he did not teach me that and i had already known it. I was glad that i did not disappoint Dr. Treves and i do hope Carr Gomm enjoyed his visit.

Welcome to my nightmare

Fear is a natural in life, it might seem crazy that some people are scared of the most random things but we all fear something. We're all scared of different things and so we have different nightmares. Fear is something we have to live with and even overcoming some fears there is always something to be scared of. A lot of fear comes from not understanding or lacking knowledge on something, it makes us fear it as we don't know what it is, what it does, or if it can even hurt us. Though some fears are just different such as being afraid of the dark, being afraid of close spaces, afraid of a specific creature, or even afraid of the sun. These fears can stem from an experience or something the person saw, like in a horror movie. There are several reasons on why we fear somethings but it is still something that will be present throughout our lives.

Compassionate Science

While i may not be interested in going into any science related field, i believe it's important that it is used for good, to help people in need. It shouldn't be about the money but rather the great feeling received after doing a good deed and helping people. We have amazing technology in this world, but what good it is it if we don't put it to good use, if we abandon people and leave them to suffer. New technology is men't to change something and not destroy us. It's not a tool to corrupt society but a way to unite the world and guide us together to the future. Of course many lack the compassion or dedication to go out and help people but if we work towards it we would see less people suffering in the world. Compassionate science is a good thing and there needs to be more of it so we don't lead into a dark future.

The Future

In the future, in about 100 years, we would have advanced so much in several fields; Technology, medicine, production, etc.. Of course technology would improve in a rapid rate. Everything would become more portable and would be several times stronger than current tech. Phones would run like every day computers, way more powerful than current phones. It wouldn't be surprising if virtual reality was a thing that far into the future. Even now theres companies making gear to make games feel more immersive as if you are the main character. Although technology would advance the world wont be perfect. Even now we face struggles over resources, some of which might run out by then. The world is not unlimited, eventually everything becomes very limited and at the rate we are advancing more things are consumed. While i'm hoping for all this cool technology to happen there are always problems that arise that are usually unpredictable.

One Time I Laughed Really, Really Hard

One time i started laughing hard all because of this swimming pool we had a really long time ago. It was one of those pools that had to be set up and was not a built in one. one day we were all inside the house having a conversation that i cannot remember and a bit before that we had been playing with our dog, we threw the ball and he would fetch it. While we were inside we heard a loud splash. We were confused on what it was, so we went outside to see if something fell in the pool. We saw our dog in the pool swimming trying to get a tennis ball that somehow fell in there. We have never seen our dog swim or even like the idea of water before that. At the time it was really hilarious and completely random. We even had trouble getting our dog out of the water as he was in the center and we couldn't reach him.

Modern Times

Charlie Chaplin's Modern Times is a fantastic movie, the idea behind the story and the little details make the movie great. Chaplin is able to turn any situation, even depressing ones, into something very funny. It is very obvious that silent movies is the best style for Chaplin as he is able make them poplar even after they are outdated. The ridiculous situations Chaplin goes through as well as the heartwarming scenes with the gamin really drive the movie. It makes you feel bad for Chaplin's character as well as the gamin. Overall the movie was really enjoyable and it was definitely an interesting watch. Chaplin was a very interesting man and is really intelligent and creative when it comes to making his movies.

My Thoughts on Bullying

Bullying has always been a problem in the world. Either its out of hate, or anger, or pain, there are many reasons why it happens. The idea of placing posters all over the place and telling people to not bully, is completely idiotic. It's never that simple a simple warning will never do. People have to help bullies understand why it is wrong and no matter what should never be done. Helping them come to an understanding would be a better solution. If something isn't done the bullying will increase and hearing name calling and seeing fights would be very common. Bullying isn't a simple problem that people can just place a bandaid over and declare it solved, It is deeper than that. Such a wound can not be healed easily or even fast. If solutions were more thought out and had more focus on, we would probably be seeing less bullying today.

My Favorite Movie

My favorite movie is Spirited Away created by Studio Ghibli. It was a movie i first saw as a kid and it automatically became my favorite. The animation in the movie is amazing and is one of my inspirations to go into animation. The first time i saw this movie i thought it was crazy how amazing the movie looked, certain scenes were really taking advantage of the animation style to enforce the fantasy in the world and the story made the movie fun and exciting to watch. The creativity of the story in the movie was what first made me love it, the craziness of some of the characters and the challenges the main character faces. This movie was also the first anime movie i had seen and it strengthened my love for anime. Spirited Away will always be a favorite of mine as well as other Studio Ghibli movies, and will continue to inspire me in the future.
