Week of June 12th

 The Film festival kicked off and it was great. I was able to go to three of the periods and was able to see the majority of the great films people made, some did repeat  though. THe most excited period was 2nd though as a majority of comedies were shown that period while 3rd period was less received. i would say the strongest films were on 2nd and 5th period. I overall enjoyed the films yet I found myself board when the repeats came on as they showed up often. It was great to see the reactions and the overall reception of the film festival and it was a great experience.

Week of June 5th

This week we were able to finish our 2nd film, we luckily did not take long on filming and only took a day as we  decided to not slack off during filming and aimed to get all our shots. Now editing has been done and all we wait for is to turn it in, though we fear that the noose is not standing out enough. I have been helping brandon's group with filming and our group is finishing the 2nd film up and preparing to film this weekend.

Week of May 29th

This week we are focusing on finishing two films. Our narrative would take more work as more preparations are needed to film it, such as props. Though we are focusing on the smaller film, a PSA that is based on suicide. Our message is basically don't ignore the signs and the film will revolve around a guy who has a noose around his neck while he lives everyday life and people will pass by him, at one point someone will turn around and look at the main character but will keep walking, leading to the message of not ignoring the signs.

Week of May 22th

This week we had decided on the way our narrative is going to go and began preparations to film. I did our story board for the narrative and all thats left is to film it all. With the three day weekend upon us we think we can use it to our advantage to finish the film and edit it all next week.

Week of May 15th

This week we finished our documentary film and have begun our next film as we need to rush or we will not finish in time. For this film we plan on doing a narrative film that came from the idea for a PSA. We have started the screenplay and I am waiting for it to be done to do the storyboard. We will try our best to finish quick but not make it look rushed.

Week of May 8th

This past week our production company has been working on learning how to add effects to a horror film (PSA) we are trying to make. We are also currently working on the screenplay and the storyboards for this film. This week we will attempt to finish shooting all scenes and begin editing.

Week of May 1st

This week we finally got all of our field footage and now rapping up the film. Editors are now working on finishing it before today and will have it done by monday. Though that is not the only thing that we have done, while we could not shoot we thought of our next film and while we have not come up with the specifics it will be a PSA.

Week of April 24

We have almost completed the film, we would have been done earlier but we have been missing certain shots. We need to get field footage yet we need to get permission to film some so it is stalling our completion of the film. This week we will get permission and get what we need to finish the film.

Week of April 17

What we did this week was finish all the interviews that we needed. We are currently in editing all the footage we have and figuring how we are gonna put it all together. There well most likely be more footage required to add, not interview footage but more field footage. We are making good progress on the film now and are closer to finishing.

Week of April 10

For this week we have been filming more for interview portion. Many times this week we have tried to get some footage recorded but due to issues and time restraints we could not finish the film this week. We were able to get some good footage this week and we should be finished by the end of next week, we have a few more people to interview and a few shots of other things and editing will be the only thing left.

Week of April 3rd

This week our group has begun filming our interviews for the documentary. We asked some of our classmates if they would like to be interviewed and took them to the eating areas for the interview. We asked all our questions and got great responses we can use. Though we will not be able to complete all our filming until next week as we still need a few more interviews as well as some shots of classrooms.

Week of March 27

Our group: Joe, Kenia, Damien and i, were able to accomplish an idea for our film. We had decided on a documentery about the students of the magnet program. The film would take multiple interviews with several students, asking them questions about the program and struggles with it. With our idea set and pitched all we have left to do is film and find our actors, which we have found several.

What music means to me

Music to me is very important. When i'm home i always have headphones on listening to music constantly. It's not an escape for me but more like creativity fuel. Helping me imagine ideas for what to draw or creating characters. It helps me think clearly and keeps me in a relaxed state. I've listened to a majority of genres but the ones i like and clutter my music library would be rock, J Rock, and some J pop. Bands such as Three Days Grace, Rise Against, and EGOIST. While i have many english songs i have a ton of japanese music, which is funny because i cant really understand a lot of it, i always enjoy listening to it. Though there is one singer i listen to, NANO, who sings rock songs in both english and japanese as she is Japanese American and i really enjoy her music especially with the combination of both languages in her songs.

Problems and Struggles

A lot of the issues that student's have are usually things happening within their homes. I personally have never had issues at home as we all care for each other. Though it doesn't mean very family wont have issues, not every parent is caring or even deserving of being a parent. It seems a lot of problems would revolve around abusive parents or parents that don't even care for their children. Some students are neglected by their parents or even injured by them and it causes a feeling of anger and pain to swell up inside them and because nobody listens to their problems things go terribly wrong. Though it wouldn't be the only issue around, things like bullying are what causes a lot of rage within students and would probably the biggest reason for school shootings. Issues shouldn't be made worse by just ignoring them and hoping they just go away they need to be heard and resolved.

The most interesting person in the world!

Someone i know that is interesting would be a friend of mine, jorge. Meeting him you would automatically see him as someone crazy. He always does the weirdest things and always seemed hyper as if he had taken way to many energy drinks and coffee. Though thats what would make him interesting, he has way too much energy for his own good and would never calm down. Even his entire group of friends he hanged out with a lot seemed crazy. I don't hang out with him that much anymore since he graduated but every time i see him he has some crazy stories about what happened to him a week ago or something. One time he had a story about how he and his friends went to an arcade a while back and i cant remember the details but something happened and a fight went down between a friend of his and some guys. Jorge had decided to join in and due to his small stature he sneaked up on them. He's not really violent yet not afraid to fight back.

My Anti Drug

What would be my anti drugs would be drawing and playing games. i spend a lot of my time in my room sitting at my desk working on several drawings. Its something i've been interested in for a very long time and always enjoy it. I have gotten much better at it since i started, even buying a lot of materials in order to draw in a variety of ways. My room is full of several drawing i have done and its become something i really want to involve myself in when it comes to a career. At other times i enjoy playing video games with friends. i play online wit several friends across the country and we have a great time playing different games. Its enjoying to play with others even if it's not in the same room. These two things are what keep me busy and keep me away from things such as drugs, and i plan on keeping it that way.

An Inconvenient Truth

Al Gore's An Inconvenient Truth touches the issue of global warming, how bad it is, how fast is it getting worse, and what we are not doing. Though i did learn some things from this movie, this is not the first time i've seen it. The first time i saw it was in a science class in my previous years. Even though i've seen it that movie never fails to make me think and be astonished with whats happening in the world. What i've learning is the devastation global warming can cause to the world. Land size can be reduced , millions of people would be relocated and would be a big issue with the increasing population. What i've seen in the movie is that many people are really ignorant, people convince themselves and others that global warming is harmless. Some groups even go as far as to make the crisis look like a joke and disregard it. What i've learning is that the future so far doesn't look too good if people keep ignoring the importance of the crisis.
